FINANCIALS FOR CREATIVES
Jennifer teaches workshops on entrepreneurship, bookkeeping, record keeping, tax prep and financial management for artists, crafters, writers and musicians. This helps creatives find stability and security in their careers, which makes a stable local economy, freer creativity and a better community.
Class size is limited to four or fewer, since content will be customized for individual needs and questions. Workshops are informal “kitchen table” discussions.
Topics range from types of businesses, tax entities and reporting deadlines (federal, sales, business property), how to keep records, bookkeeping basics including software programs and what they do, what are allowable deductions and write-offs, what business financials look like, and what different situations require.
“Financials for Creatives” workshop is about three hours for a flat fee. One-on-one and on-site consulting are also available for an hourly rate.
