Floor lamps commissioned for Austin City Lofts using white concrete cast cylinders and steel

As the Design Team Artist for the East 7th Street Corridor Project, I worked closely with the Engineers, Landscape Designer, and Graphic Designers to define art opportunities in the corridor, and to aesthetically enhance functional components to beautify the streetscape.  As a panelist for the City of Austin’ Art in Public Places program, I have experience with public art, advising artists in the use of durable materials, and civic dialog.

As an hourly consultant, I help select interior and exterior paint colors for homes and businesses. I have selected paints, colors and finishes for over 12 years and can offer many examples of my work and referrals from clients.

Often I create solutions for my own home that others want in their spaces, like handmade window treatments, lighting, and custom concrete forms, so much of my functional work is commissioned. In the past I have collaborated with artists such as Todd Campbell to hand-forge steel, or with industrial fabricators to create machine-like perfection.

I have a personal passion for teaching professional development for visual artists, so I offer workshops and classes in the areas of my expertise.
